Following our partnership with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya in 2018, CIS will collaborate with Aalborg University in Denmark in 2019, bringing again excellent research expertise on board.
Our partner is keen on having college students involved in solar research projects with CIS, while earning university course credits. In addition to offering a platform for students to conduct impact research, CIS also provides students a valuable chance to become part of the founding team members, on the projects students work on.
Being able to apply theoretical knowledge into the real world is not only a motivating factor for students, but also an ideal model of academics marrying industry. We hope, by fostering a culture of collaboration between universities and industry, CIS can set a forefront example for other social ventures to follow.
